John Wooden Center is named after brilliant basketball coach John Wooden Center, who lead basketball team to 10 national championships during 12 years. The building serves students, faculty and staff, while serving as the primary training facility for the UCLA gymnastics and men's and women's volleyball teams. Inside the building are 10 racquetball courts, two squash courts, a coed weight room,a basketball gymnasium with three regulation courts and seating for 2000 people, a volleyball and badminton gymnasium, a dance studio, a gymnastics training center, a mated room for Judo and Karate classes and numerous meeting rooms.
Hours of Operation:    Monday -Thursday:  5:30am-10:45pm
           Friday:5:30am-9:45pm
              Saturday:9:00am-7:45pm
            Sunday:9:00am-7:45pm
Equipment:   The John Wooden Center offers:
                  1 3gyms for basketball, volleyball and badminton, and gymnastics 
                  2 Strength and Conditioning: weight training equipment, stretching mats, various  cardio equipment   including stationary bicycles, stairclimbers,  ellipticals, treadmills, rowing machines ,upperbody ergometer, and outdoor sports conditioning area. FITWELL staff available for assistance.
                  3 4 studios  for fitness, dance, fencing, and martial arts-3 with mirrors and hardwood floors and one with a heavy punching bag and padding on the walls and floor. 
                 4  Certified Personal Fitness Trainer
                 5  Handball, racquetball, and squash courts
                 6  A Games Lounge with a large screen TV and tables and chairs for cards, board games, and studying.
                7  Men's and Women's locker rooms with showers and saunas, and lockers available for rental
                8  Towels and sports equipment available for checkout
                9  The Rock Wall is designed for all levels of climbers, with dozens of indoor climbs and 15 climbing ropes.
